Maintaining a lifestyle that combines a balanced diet, getting enough exercise and being satisfied with it can be difficult and requires willpower. As IOL reported on Friday (06/17/2022), there are simple and healthy ways to stay balanced and energized for this year.
Here are seven ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle:
1. Balance is key
A healthy lifestyle is a combination of what you eat and how much you eat. Fill your plate halfway with vegetables and a quarter with fiber-rich starches like brown rice and whole-wheat pasta. The remaining quarter is protein such as chicken, lean meat, fish, eggs, beans or peas.
Adults between 18 and 64 years need at least 150 at 300 minutes of movie intensely. Alternatively, engage in vigorous exercise for at least 75-150 minutes and reinforce your activities, involving all muscle groups. Dance at least twice a week.
3. Meal planning
Portion control starts with planning your meals for the week ahead and shopping with a list.grocery stores. When you know what to cook and what to buy, you’re less likely to buy groceries that aren’t on your list.
4. Get used to breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it gives your body the energy it needs for the day ahead. Skipping meals increases the likelihood that you will overeat at your next meal or later in the day.
5. Eat with a plan – Plan ahead
Take the time to enjoy your meals with family, friends or colleagues. When you take the time to eat more slowly, you eat less, you eat smaller portions, and you’re less likely to overeat.
